I spent a LOT of time yesterday looking through pictures of R2-D2.
While doing this, a thought occurred to me. He looks awfully like what I believe are referred to as “Love Egg” vibrators.

I think they’re missing a merchandising opportunity.
What could be better than giving the Geekette in your life a vibrating R2-D2 next Christmas?
Possibly with realistic droid noises.
I’m sure we can get it through the Lucasfilm Marketing department.
Who’s in? I’ll get on with the prototype…
